Kingdom Life Ministries has a passion for the community. Last year KLM had several community events that made an impact in the region. The Stop GR Violence Campaign was a multi-media campaign that included a television commercial, billboard ads and a youth rally in the community. KLM also hosted a prayer walk in the month of June that included forty churches! The Stop GR violence campaign along with effectual, fervent prayer definitely made a difference. The violence in the community amongst the gang members and youth was not what had been anticipated.Recently KLM created the Kingdom Life Ministries Community Development Corporation. The Kingdom Life Ministries Community Development Corporation is an effort to reach out to the young people in our area by developing mentoring programs, training them in job skills and providing a computer lab for help after school. KLM believes that we can see change in our community by helping one young person at a time.
Currently KLM sends out ministry teams to the Pine Rest Treatment Facility. Teams of men and women go weekly and hold Bible studies with the residents. The lives of many have been changed through these weekly services and the residents are able to attend the KLM Worship service on Sundays. KLM is also a supporter of Provision International which is a clothing ministry under the leadership of Sue Racine. Hundreds of families in the Grand Rapids area have been clothed and have received the love of Christ Jesus.
